Faculty and students of Food and Beverage Management at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya have collaborated to create innovative dishes using high-quality Nakhon Si Thammarat Wagyu beef, which will be served to guests at the Orachoon Farm Festival.

On August 30, 2024, a team of faculty members from the Food and Beverage Management program, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saowanee Chaipetch, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirinath Sri-Onnuan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanikan Thanasin, and Dr. Suthasinee Tongnok, along with students Ms. Natthawadee Nualsri, Ms. Kamolchanok Kongthong, and Ms. Suwandee Kravik, collaborated to create and present exquisite dishes at the Orachoon Farm Festival. The theme of the event was “Beef Lover.” The event was held in partnership with Orachoon Farm, under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somkid Chaipetch, a faculty member of the Faculty of Agriculture and the Center for Modern Agricultural Technology and Innovation, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus.

Orachoon Farm has been developing and enhancing the quality of Wagyu beef for commercial purposes under the brand name “Muang Kon Beef” for some time. To expand its marketing and public relations efforts, Orachoon Farm organized the first Orachoon Farm Festival at Mittraphap Yamyen Shop in Na Pru Subdistrict, Phra Phrom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. At the event, faculty and students from the Faculty of Agro-Industry and the Faculty of Agriculture showcased their skills and talents by creating a buffet of premium beef dishes, featuring international cuisines such as Thai, Japanese, Korean, and Western, in collaboration with Baan Thaan Khun Restaurant. The event was a resounding success.

On this occasion, the faculty would like to express their gratitude to Orachoon Farm and Muang Kon Beef for entrusting the Agri Res Team from the Center for Modern Agricultural Technology and Innovation, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus, with the preparation of the venue, food, and service for over 350 guests. The event left a lasting impression on all attendees.
